The Sanctuary: BIPOC Embodied Circle

For BIPOC people holding space - come to be held too.

Pause. Breathe. Be witnessed. You don’t have to hold it all alone.

This is a somatic monthly circle for people of colour — leaders, facilitators, coaches, teachers, creatives, and anyone holding space in any form — to exhale and rest into community.

So often, we are asked to translate, to hold, to navigate spaces that don’t see the fullness of us. In this circle, you don’t have to explain. You don’t have to carry it by yourself.

If this Sanctuary calls to you, you can join by completing your registration on my website to receive your personalized Zoom link:

We begin with a short somatic practice to ground the body and support the nervous system, then open into guided reflection and sharing. You are invited to bring what feels heavy, unseen, or rarely spoken — without expectation, judgment, or needing to have it figured out.

This is not a space to bubble off or escape into wellness as a magic pill. Many wellness approaches can unintentionally encourage avoidance — using somatic practices, breathwork, or movement as a way to disconnect from life’s realities. For BIPOC people, who already live in a world not designed for us, this can feel hollow.

We bring presence instead: small, consistent ways to inhabit our bodies, honour our experiences, and grow our capacity to be with life as it is.

While Drop-in tickets are available. This circle is held as a 3-month or 12-month commitment. Healing and belonging take time, and this container offers the steadiness needed for our nervous systems to trust, open, and deepen in community.

This is part of my broader work, Exploring the Veil, which centres healing through slowing down and feeling what’s here — gently, in small, steady ways. Somatic practices alone are not enough when our systems are regularly activated. What we need is consistent support, micro-resourcing, everyday embodiment, and community to integrate, replenish, and restore.

This circle is a chance to:

*Release the weight of always holding space for others

*Explore how you show up, even when stretched thin

*Be witnessed by those who understand, without translation

*Reconnect with your body and capacity for care amidst pressure

Every 1st Thursday of the month* we’ll set intentions and invocations that honour your lived experiences, and the collective presence in the room. This is your sanctuary — a place to pause, soften, and be held.

If this resonates — or if someone comes to mind who would feel nourished here — please share.
