BACKGROUND ON DR. DANIEL WINDSOR:

One of Daniel's earliest memories is his grandmother singing hymns and gospel songs into his ear. At age 6, she prodded him to begin piano lessons. She was determined that he would have a life that was grounded in music.

Daniel’s father was a Baptist minister, and a promotor of gospel music. As he grew older, he often accompanied family and friends at various church events and singings.

In rural Clay county, there wasn’t a lot entertainment readily available. Thus, Daniel spent many hours at his piano. It was not unusual to have friends and family visit and sing until midnight or after.

During his remaining time at home, Daniel’s father kept him busy playing for various church services and events. Before he began studies at Auburn University, he accompanied a local college choir and ensemble for their performances.

Daniel is a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He has practiced general dentistry in Phenix City for 34 years. He is married to Linda Martin Windsor. They have 3 children: Danielle, Raven and Scott. Linda has been his biggest supporter in all of his musical pursuits.

Through the years Daniel has played for musicals at the Springer Opera House. He has accompanied Miss Georgia at the Miss Georgia Pageant. For over 5 years, he toured across the country with singer, Katie Deal, daughter of Georgia governor, Nathan Deal, in a popular Patsy Cline show. For 15 years he was at the piano each Wednesday morning for the "Rise N Shine" gospel hour on NBC channel 38 in Columbus.

He has accompanied many gospel singers, but one of the highlights of his journey was accompanying the late legendary gospel singer, Jake Hess.

Gospel music has been a huge part of his life since childhood. The recording is a culmination of a dream to produce an album featuring friends with whom he has performed through the years.

Daniel's grandmother set him on a path that he is still traveling today. He is grateful to be a sojourner on these "Gospel Roads".
