You're invited to The Salon, a gathering styled after the salons of the Harlem Renaissance celebrating BIPOC womxn wordsmiths and lyricists in Central Texas at the historic Antone's Nightclub in Austin, TX.
Poets and songwriters are welcome to sign up for the open mic. Get there early to get on the list!

is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established to publish and promote creative writing by Black women. We publish contemporary writing by emerging and experienced writers alike. Torch has featured work by Colleen J. McElroy, Tayari Jones, Sharon Bridgforth, Crystal Wilkinson, Patricia Smith, Natasha Trethewey, Elizabeth Alexander, and others. Programs include the Wildfire Reading Series, writing workshops, retreats, and special events.
