Ever thought about how a book can be made from scratch? The Saddleback book is a great introduction to some of the techniques common to hand bookbinding! Folding, punching, sewing on supports, creating end papers – all will come together to allow you to make a sturdy & long-lasting journal! This book will be covered in gorgeous handmade paper from the St. Armand Mill in Quebec. The paper is made from recycled cotton clothing, so the colours are earthy and unique. The book will have 144 pages and be sized about 14 cm h x 22 cm w. Great for writing or sketching – ideal for pens/ink & coloured pencils.Beginners are welcome!
