Please join the SAIS Europe and Eurasia for lunch, where Professor Matthias Matthijs will be hosting Angela Stent of AEI, who will be discussing the fact that Vladimir Putin, as he insists that the post-West multipolar order has arrived. Meanwhile Donald Trump touts the new “America First” order. Therefore the questions must be asked on firstly, how does Russia view its place in the “post-West” world? Secondly, how has the war in Ukraine changed the Kremlin's understanding of its international role?".

Angela Stent is a Senior Fellow in the American Enterprise Institute's Foreign and Defense Policy Program and Professor Emerita of Government and Foreign Service at Georgetown University. From 2004-2006 she served as National Intelligence Officer for Russia and Eurasia at the National Intelligence Council. From 1999 to 2001, she served in the Office of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State. Her latest book is Putin’s World: Russia Against the West and With the Rest.
