Our BIG donations day is on Saturday 13th December, 1-3pm at the O-zone, Oakwell Stadium South Stand S71 1ET, before Barnsley Football Club’s last game before Christmas.You can also drop donations off at Barnsley FC Community Trust at the top of Grove Street S71 1ET before 13th.
Key items we are looking for are:
+ Large rucksacks, sleeping bags and camping mats
+ Warm and waterproof coats, jumpers and hoodies (S/M/L only)
+ Joggers and waterproof trousers (S/M/L only)
+ Hats and gloves, and hand warmers
+ New underwear and socks (S/M/L only)
+ Toiletries (preferably male)
+ Instant coffee, long-life milk and sugar
+ Chocolate bars, cereal bars and biscuits
+ Packs of pasta and pasta sauce - as well as all-in-one pasta/sauce packs or noodles (e.g. pot pasta or pot noodles)
+ Tinned vegetables, tinned meat and fish
You may have items around your home that you no longer need, you may be also be able to find some great bargains in charity shops, pound stores and alike.
Some of the above items will be handed out as supplies of clothing and groceries (for instance for those moving from rough sleeping into a bedsit or similar), and other items will be distributed alongside the BCDP Drop-In’s regular nightly food and drink handouts.
Unfortunately, we have limited space for general storage, so PLEASE NO DUVETS OR QUILTS, or clothing that falls outside of the above items or sizes (i.e. No XL please).
