SEI warmly invites you to the C-SINK workshop and policy dialogue that will discuss the role of BECCS within a future European CDR market.
About this Event

The day will bring together researchers, policymakers, technology providers, and practitioners to advance a constructive dialogue on the responsible role of BECCS within a future European CDR market.


Register early

As space is limited for in-person attendees, we encourage you to register early, but latest 22 May. In-person registration is binding but free of charge. Online registration closes 25 May.


Workshop agenda

The program is structured around four thematic sessions with keynote speakers from Europe and Sweden highlighting:

1. BECCS user cases, exploring concrete BECCS deployments and the current state of the technology.
2. Assessment methodologies and governance frameworks, covering social acceptability, techno-economic analysis and systematic evaluation of CDR approaches.
3. Risks and uncertainties, addressing integrated assessments and the responsible deployment of BECCS.
4. Support mechanisms, including public and private finance, cross-regional perspectives.


Registration is required

In-person participation has 50 places available and registration on this ticket is binding. A light vegetarian lunch and coffee is included. In-person registration closes 22 May, 2026.
