With the WooSox games starting at 6:00 pm, we've changed our starting time to 5pm so more metered parking is, hopefully, available. We're back with at an exciting new location! It's the Broadway Restaurant at 100 Water Street, Worcester.
Owners Tony and Nequel Germano have a plethora of delightful entrees, apps, desserts, and their famous, homemade ice cream.
The Broadway also serves beer and wine and breakfast until closing (with mimosas!).
We'll have a separate room for our shenanigans. Parking is metered but Tony and Nequel will take one-hour ($2.00) off every food purchase. Admission is still free!
Our feature is Judy Ferrara who will read her own works and the poems of her late husband John Gaumond.
Sign up for the open mic at [email protected]. Five minute maximum and limited spots.
The Fox Poetry Series, in honor of the iconic poet Richard Fox, is sponsored by the Worcester County Poetry Association through a generous donation from the Fox family.
I'm pleased as punch to continue this exciting open mic/feature every 1st Tuesday of the month at our new time of 5-730pm at our new and welcoming venue.
Join us on May 5th!
John Gaumond, who passed away in 2024, was a familiar face in Worcester’s poetry family. His poetry readings and photography exhibits were part of its arts landscape for three decades, and in
2024, his poetry book Finding the Words (Kelsay Books) was published. His wife, writer, poet and painter Judith Ferrara (https://PaletteAndPen.com), will be reading John’s poetry and her
own for this Richard Fox Poetry Series. Her poems, essays and artwork have appeared in three collections and in journals; her nonfiction books include the biography/memoir A Feast of
Losses: Yetta Dine and Her Son, the Poet Stanley Kunitz.
She is the 2018 recipient of the Stanley
Kunitz Medal.
