Staged intimately within the ancient stone walls of Guildford Castle Keep, The Revengers Tragedy (first performed in the same year as Macbeth, both in Shakespeare’s Globe) depicts a morally corrupt world, full of outrageous characters. Ingenious forms of murder, lust, poetic tragedy and bizarre farce make for a fast-paced shocker. Gloriously horrific! Horribly hilarious! Award-winning Pranksters move this summer from the usual stage by the bandstand in Guildford Castle Grounds to the nearby Norman Castle with a seating capacity of just 50, so tickets are sure to sell out quickly. Opening night, Monday 13th July, tickets are ‘pay what you can afford’ and performances are 7.30 each evening til Saturday 18th with a final matinee on Sunday 19th at 2.30 p.m.
