About this Event
Join us for The Reparations Project’s 2026 Community Assemblies. From February to May 2026, the Healthcare Reparations Cooperative is hosting eight (8) community assemblies exploring reparations in the context of health.
These assemblies prioritize those most impacted by healthcare harms* and will be used to shape the ongoing Reparations Project in years to come. While this stage is open for participation and feedback, we are very clear that this project prioritizes and centers those most impacted by healthcare harms, no matter of their professional association with healthcare.
*Here, the most impacted by healthcare harms, state violence, and criminalization are those dynamically situated at the intersections of Blackness, Indigeneity, queerness, transness, immigration status, and disability.
Please note, Community Assemblies are not an invitation or opportunity to attack, bring down, belittle, deprioritize, or in any way replicate cycles of harm. Nor is this a space to hold white guilt or amplify white priorities. Any attempts at weaponizing these assemblies will be lovingly checked.
Each assembly is hosted in a different district within Hennepin County and is built around a specific theme.
All assemblies are in person unless otherwise noted.
