What to expect
Photographers Hara Allison and Makayla Green are collaborating on a stylized group portrait session, open to models of any experience level.
See above for inspiration image. We will have red thread/yarn to play with and lots of ideas on how to pose!
If you need more inspo, the “Red Thread of Fate is an East Asian belief suggesting the gods tie an invisible red cord around the ankles (Chinese) or little fingers (Japanese/Korean) of those destined to meet and share a significant, unbreakable bond.
- Destiny Over Choice: The concept emphasizes that important relationships are pre-destined, providing comfort that people will find their destined partner or "twin flame".
- Broader Interpretation: Beyond romantic soulmates, the red thread can also connect people intended to have profound friendships, mentorships, or familial bonds.
- Accepting Fate: The myth encourages trusting that connections will arrive at the right time and that "wrong turns" are just part of the journey.

- Choose one of two sessions:
- Saturday, June 6 | 3-5pm
- Sunday, June 7 | 3-5pm
- Can be paired with another model
This will be a fun, collaborative, creative environment designed to produce striking images while giving models time in front of the camera with two experienced portrait photographers.
