Summer Solstice fun continues with a Silent Reading party in the plaza hosted by Books and Books' very own Alyssa Expósito.Unplug, unwind, and settle into a cozy evening of books, community, and conversation in the plaza. In collaboration with Books & Books, the Books & Books Literary Foundation, and CocoWalk’s Summer Solstice Celebration, this special gathering invites guests to slow down and savor the simple joy of reading together.
Join fellow readers in the CocoWalk plaza for a peaceful, silent reading session for all book lovers. Bring the book you’re currently reading, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy 30–60 minutes of companionable silence beneath the evening sky. Afterward, guests are invited to mingle, raise a glass, and chat about what they’ve been reading.

About the Host
Alyssa Expósito was born and raised in Miami and is a proud graduate of the University of Miami and Columbia University. She serves as the Social Media Manager at Books & Books and as a Program Coordinator at the Books & Books Literary Foundation, where she combines her passion for education, community, and movement — both the kind that occurs in our bodies and the kind that happens in the world.
Whether coordinating book donations, producing content, or strutting down new releases on a “BookWalk,” Alyssa believes in the power of storytelling to connect people and bring communities together.
