About this Event
To mark the arrival of Ramadan, we’re thrilled to be hosting a special instalment of our Kitchen Stories series with Ilhan Mohamed Abdi.
Ilhan is a Londoner of Somali heritage, who left her corporate role at Amazon and began sharing modern takes on the traditional dishes she grew up with. Her quick, flavour-packed recipes - especially her Ramadan and Eid series - have become hugely popular across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Now, she’ll be joining us on the 3rd Floor of our Piccadilly home to share more about her new book The Ramadan Kitchen. A timeless Ramadan cookbook, inside you’ll find a blending of tradition and modern cooking, featuring over 80 flavourful, time‑saving recipes inspired by East and North Africa, the Middle East and the wider Muslim diaspora. With dishes for suhoor, iftar and Eid, it’s a warm and thoughtful ode to the meals that shape family heritage and bring people together.
If you’d like to be a part of this event, meet Ilhan and learn more about the recipes and stories in her new book, be sure to secure your ticket today!
