Welcome to Far North QLD’s first tattoo expo, the Rainforest and Reef Invitational!
Join us at the Cairns Showgrounds for an incredible weekend with some of Australia’s best tattoo artists. This event has been lovingly hand crafted and curated by Jake Straat, a local tattoo artist who owns and operates Royal Blue Tattoo, and Kaarina Straat, co-owner of Royal Blue Tattoo.
We will be offering live tattooing and barbering, old-time tin type photos, and plenty more exciting experiences. There will also be local food and drink vendors to enjoy throughout the weekend, making it a full celebration of art, culture, and community.
Tickets are available as day passes or full weekend passes, per person, and the expo will be open from 10 AM to 7 PM each day.

Please note:
• No ATM available on site – bring cash if you plan to purchase tattoos or vendors’ goods.
• Under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian.
• No tattoos for anyone under 18, even with a guardian.
• Bring valid photo ID – no tattoos will be done without it.
• All sales are final for tattoo services.
• Respect artists and attendees – this is a safe, inclusive space.
