Rooted in the musical soil of Sonoma County, The Pulsators have been one of the North Bay’s most beloved live bands for decades. Their sound blends driving blues, New Orleans–style funky R&B, rock-and-roll, and a touch of reggae, creating a groove-heavy mix built for dancing.
Led by drummer and songwriter Johnny Campbell, the band has built a loyal following throughout the Bay Area and across the western United States. Along the way they’ve shared bills with artists like Bob Dylan, Little Feat, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Al Green, and Chris Isaak, and even collaborated with New Orleans legend Art Neville, who performed on tracks from their album Here’s To You.Known for their infectious rhythms, soulful harmonies, and feel-good stage energy,.
