The Prenatal Plan
Navigating Prenatal Care with Confidence & Clarity
Part of The Birth Hope Workshop Series
Prenatal care is one of the first places your birth experience begins.
These appointments are more than measurements and lab work — they are opportunities to build trust, ask meaningful questions, and feel supported in the decisions that shape your pregnancy.
Many women enter prenatal care unsure of what to expect or how to actively participate in conversations about their health. The Prenatal Plan is designed to change that.
This two-hour, in-person workshop offers thoughtful, evidence-informed guidance to help you feel confident, prepared, and respected throughout your pregnancy.
Together, we will explore how to:
• Understand common prenatal appointments, tests, and screenings
• Prepare questions that foster clear communication
• Participate confidently in shared decision-making
• Understand how medical recommendations are discussed
• Strengthen collaborative relationships with your provider
• Prepare emotionally for pregnancy and the transition into birth
This class is designed to complement your medical care and support respectful, collaborative relationships between families and providers.
Your birth plan doesn’t begin at the end of pregnancy — it begins with how you experience your care from the very start.
