About this Event
Pollinators are in serious decline, with fewer and fewer visiting our gardens never mind making their homes in our gardens. Planting a wide variety of flowering plants with different shapes, colours & fragrance will attract those necessary insects, providing both pollen & nectar for them
In the workshop, learn about:
· Who are our pollinators and what they need in a garden
· Types of containers, growing medium and amendments
· Best flowering plants to attract a variety of pollinators
· Techniques for transplanting seedlings into containers
· Care of your container- watering, fertilizers, pruning and harvesti
Then plant up a container with a selection of flowers to take home to grace your garden that attract those pollinators to your garden!
Plus take home a copy of either the Prairie Gardeners Go-To for Perennials or Small Spaces
Proceeds of the workshop will be donated to the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation
See you there! 🎄
