For centuries, young people have built and energized political and social movements. Join us for dinner and a conversation with young local leaders to learn about the different ways they have been showing up in the community and growing local movements.• You’ll hear real stories about student walkouts, youth-led advocacy and mutual aid. Learn what it looks like in action, why it matters and how it’s making an impact right now.
• Chat with NEw Voices, Youth Elect, Strongly Worded Letters, Students for Sustainability and ACLU of Nebraska to learn more about the work they’re leading and how you can get involved.
• Tap into your own voice by creating a zine, using art as a tool for expression, resistance and protest.
• Dinner is on us! Choose tacos or a quesadilla from the Alley Taco 402 food truck. Food will begin being served by 5 p.m. Arrive early to eat before the program begins at 6 p.m.
