OPENING OF A SPECTACULAR PLACE FULL OF MAGIC ✨Starting September 12, THE PORTAL—an innovative XR exhibition at Munich’s New Town Hall — opens its doors to an extraordinary world of immersive storytelling! For the first time, VR works from top international artists, typically reserved for festivals and industry events, will be accessible to everyone.
Initiated by the City of Munich, with support from the Municipal Office and the Advisory Team of Cultural and Creative Industries, the next four months offer a rare chance to experience the latest innovations in immersive storytelling firsthand.
The exhibition features four rotating programs filled with a wide variety of different formats and genres. With over five hours of breathtaking content, there’s something new and intriguing every time you visit. Plus, watch out for special events and talks throughout the exhibition!

Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Closed Sundays and public holidays)

THE PORTAL is made possible by the City of Munich, which has granted the organiser, IONDA GmbH, temporary use of a large retail space in the City Hall. The premises were provided by the Municipal Office, and the project is supported by the Advisory Team of Cultural and Creative Industries.
