About this Event
The Poets Den is a writing group open to readers, writers, aspiring writers, and curious creatives! If you're new to the group, please review our community agreements prior to attending.
The purpose of our meeting is threefold: to read and discuss poetry as inspiration, to write in a communal setting, and to share our own writing (if desired). You do not have to be a professional writer, avid reader, or English major to join—whether you call yourself a writer or have only ever known blank page, you are welcome and encouraged! The purpose of this group is to spark inspiration, steep in creative energy, and connect over the nuanced tenderness that poetry brings to life. If you happen to get some writing out of it, phenomenal.
"I imagine poets stitching the world together. Long silver threads of text. Lines prompting reading, dreaming minds not to see every thing by itself and separate, but to see the seams often unseen in the dark expanses across space and time. This is, perhaps, a kind of sorcery. A power not to wield, but to hold. To practice holding." - Ellie A. Rogers
The writing group will take place at Harmonist Sanctuary, in the City Park area!
As always, this event is free! Always welcome to invite friends and loved ones.
