The Pinkerton Raid

The Pinkerton Raid’s songwriter Jesse James DeConto grew up in New England, with dad’s guitar and mom’s FM radio tuned to Soulsville, the Village, Liverpool and Laurel Canyon. Those inheritances mingle with foothills-folk and indie-pop in his chosen home of Durham, N.C., yielding songs AMERICANA-UK calls “anthemic.” In 2022, the band releases its fifth full-length album, THE HIGHWAY MOVES THE WORLD, “a towering forest of indie rock with the timbre of folk that shadows Langhorne Slim, Cold War Kids and the Killers” (THE SPILL).

Dylan DelliSan

“Dylan DelliSanti is an Americana singer-songwriter living near DC’s historic H Street Corridor. Inspired by Bob Dylan, John Prine, Hank Williams Sr., and Conor Oberst, Dylan’s songs are often historical and literary flights of fancy that seek to blur the line between fact and fiction. Many of his songs are based whatever book he happens to be reading, TV show he happens to be watching, or whatever article he happened to read in the Wall Street Journal that morning. He can typically be found at any ol’ barstool, or, as is often the case, behind the bar shaking drinks and slinging wine. Feel free to buy him a shot of Jameson and give his new EP, The Cairo, a listen.”
