Everyday Everybody
DC-based band Everyday Everybody (fka AZTEC SUN) has been performing since 2012, producing an upbeat, retro groove steeped in Funk, Soul, Jazz, Afro-funk. Their sound and energetic live performances have yielded numerous awards for the group - such as being named Best Local Original Band by the Washington City Paper, named Best Funk group by the Washington Area Music Association, profiled in NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Tour series and in the Washington Post and sharing the stage with international and national touring acts such as Galactic, Cory Henry, Burning Spear, The Suffers, Cory Henry, The True Loves, Durand Jones & The Indications, Cedric Burnside, Sunny War and others.
GXB
GXB is an emerging band fusing southern rock and roll, country, and soul influences for a tight, high-energy live show. Built around the “instant classic” songwriting of Guy Bouchie, the band is rounded out by veteran DC musician Ben Tufts and a revolving door of top local talent. You can hear their debut single “High Roller” on all platforms.
Candyweather
Candyweather is a DC-based project comprised of songwriter Katie Pindell on vocals and guitar, Sebastian Rodriguez on synth, Ben Melrod on bass and percussion, and Dan Hockstein on lead guitar and pedal steel. The group creates layered, atmospheric arrangements for singer/songwriter pop with a dash of third generation country twang.
Acid Red Dress
Acid Red Dress brings together vibrant lyrics and haunting melodies to evoke the heights and depths of living. Incorporating elements of folk and blues traditions, this songwriting duo creates a unique organic sound that highlights their emotional storytelling. The bright, sweet vocals, ukulele, and piano of DC newcomer Devon Reynolds meld stirringly with the dark, salty guitar and vocals from long-time local musician Donnie Riggs, award-winning member and songwriter of Two Ton Twig.
