About this Event

Learn the tricks to making your very own delicious pies with the expert baking team of Honeypie Bakeshop. Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our sister cafe Palomino, this hands-on class will guide you through a variety of different aspects of pie making. There is lots of room for questions and answers during each class so come with all of your crust conundrums and filling inquiries!

This very fun lesson in Sweet & Savoy Hand Pie making is led by our founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer, Valeri Lucks. We will learn how to make a butter-based pie crust and then work through a lesson in rolling and folding techniques to get perfect, yummy hand-held pies. We'll provide you with sweet and savory fillings for your pies. Each student will make 6 hand pies with the fillings of their choosing. We will bake them off in class and in the end you will have delicious treats to take home to share (or keep for yourself!)

Ticket for class includes all of your ingredients, your finished hand pies, and printed recipes with tips and tricks to take home.

Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. We do stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen - please let us know if you need an accomodation made for class and we'll gladly make arrangements. Wear clothing you don't mind getting flour on and closed-toe, non-slip shoes. Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. Baketime for the pies in this class is about 40min giving you time for a break, for questions with the instructor, and/or a chat with friends. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class and during class serving drinks and our full dinner menu.

(Please note, we often have wait lists for our pie classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
