There’s an art to serving up picky bits at a gathering - and fortunately for us, we’ve got Neil Ridley for our next Kitchen Stories instalment to teach us more. Neil is an award-winning professional drinks writer, broadcaster, consultant, host and presenter with over 15 years of experience in the food and drink industry - and we’re very excited to welcome him back to Fortnum’s!
Neil has been shortlisted four times as a 'Communicator Of The Year' by the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) and his first book, co-written with Joel Harrison, Distilled: A Guide To The World's Best Spirits, was awarded 'Best Drinks Book' in The Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards. He’s also an experienced and highly versatile TV host and presenter, serving as a resident drinks expert on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, as well as appearing on Saturday Kitchen and ITV’s This Morning.
Now, he’ll be joining us to talk about his new book The Picky Bits Sommelier, featuring over 160 picky bits and 70 drinks for every occasion - from meat, fish and veggie and vegan snacks to alcoholic and non-alcoholic - as well as perfect picky bit and drink pairings.
