About this Event
As part of our Training & Development stratergy, this practical workshop is designed to support voluntary and community organisations to stay within the rules, maintain the basics, and manage their statutory reporting requirements to Companies House.
This workshop will demystify key legal and governance responsibilities for organisations that are incorporated, helping trustees, directors, and senior staff understand what must be done, when it must be done, and why it matters.
Participants will gain clarity on essential filings, including annual accounts, confirmation statements, and updates to organisational details, as well as the consequences of non-compliance.
The workshop is interactive and practical, with time for questions, real-world examples, and signposting to tools and resources that organisations can use immediately.
By the end of the session, participants will feel more confident in:
- Understanding their legal duties and responsibilities
- Keeping core governance information up to date
- Managing deadlines and reporting cycles
- Knowing where to find reliable guidance and support
- Understanding the expectations from Funders

-Please note our conference rooms are on the ground floor, and are level access from the main entrance. There are steps from the rear car park entrance, but a wheelchair lift is available. All other rooms are on the first floor, which is accessible via a lift.
- This event will run from 09:30 til 14:30, during this time you have access to the room, and if you stay in the room past your finish time you may be charged for the extended access and/or asked to leave.
- These is a prayer room available on the 1st floor.
