About this Event
The People’s Poets is an open mic experience curated to amplify voices of color in the PNW. We are a home for creatives and community lovers to feel inspired, validated, and poetically nourished. With the alarming rate of gentrification in the PNW it is crucial for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) poets to have a place to gather and embrace one another's voice, culture, and story.
Paint and Poetry is a fundraiser event for our annual BHM Showcase on Feb 23rd! Tickets cover the cost of admission, a canvas, and paint supplies. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event.
Brianna Renae will be hosting this event and DJ Ashe will be providing the tunes all night. Poets that would like to perform will be selected at random periodically throughout the night.
