The Pause Walk is a community nature experience hosted by Kendra at Healing Through Words Counseling Services. This is a guided, non-therapeutic nature walk designed to create space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself and your surroundings. This trail is fairly accessible for all and everyone is welcome to attend.
This month we’ll gather at the Riverfront and move gently along the water as a way to reset and ground together.
🌿 What to Expect
Opening (10–15 minutes)
We’ll begin with a brief welcome and a guided meditation to help settle the body and mind before we start walking.
30-Minute Gentle Walk
We’ll walk at a relaxed, accessible pace along the river. Conversation is optional. You’re welcome to walk quietly, reflect, or engage lightly with others if you like.
Closing (5–10 minutes)
We’ll end with brief closing remarks and a simple reflection before heading out for the day.
🧥 What to Wear (It Will Likely Be Cold)
Because we’ll be near the river, it may feel colder due to wind.
Please dress in:
Warm layers (base layer + sweater/sweatshirt)
A coat or insulated jacket
Hat and gloves
Comfortable walking shoes or boots
Warm socks
Layering is encouraged so you can adjust as needed.
🎒 What to Bring
