About this Event

Join us for an inspiring Women’s History Month Celebration on March 12 from 5:00–7:30 PM, featuring Brenda Wilkerson, President and CEO of AnitaB.org, as she presents her keynote, “The Past We Inherit. The Future We Build.” This engaging talk will reflect on the legacy of women in technology, the challenges and progress of today, and the collective actions needed to shape a more innovative future.

As a special thank‑you to our community, all attendees will be entered into a drawing for one complimentary pass to GHC 2026 in Anaheim, California!

This event is organized by IEEE Chicago Section, IEEE Women in Engineering Chicago, and Vision 1948, and proudly sponsored by North Central College and InspiHer TECH.

The event will be held at Stevenson Hall within the Dr. Myron Wentz Science Center at North Central College. A networking session will follow the keynote, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with peers, mentors, and leaders across the STEM community. Light refreshments will be served. Whether you are a student, professional, or ally, this is a meaningful opportunity to build connections, and be part of a powerful conversation about shaping the future together.


For people coming from Chicago using public transportation:

  • Take the Burlington Northwestern (BNSF) from Chicago Union Station - inbound and outbound schedules here
  • Get off at the "Naperville" station (the Downtown Naperville station on Ellsworth)
  • It's a 0.6mi walk to the North Central College Wentz Science Center

For people coming from Chicago or any suburb on any of the interstates, here's the endgame:

  • Take I-355 to the Maple exit
  • Head west for ~10 minutes
  • Turn right (north) onto Loomis
  • The Wentz Science Center, 131 S Loomis St, is on the left
  • You can park on campus on Lot F or Lot G
  • There is additional street parking and public lots on Jefferson and Chicago.
