This event will feature a discussion of Stephan Kieninger’s new book, Securing Peace in Europe: Strobe Talbott, NATO, and Russia After the Cold War. Kieninger’s book traces the Clinton administration’s efforts to engage Russia while enlarging NATO through the eyes of Strobe Talbott, a deputy secretary of state for seven years and the key American diplomatic broker for the former Soviet Union. The panel will then explore the current state and future of the NATO alliance, offering insights into transatlantic security and emerging geopolitical challenges.
