The Oxted Sessions, in association with Purple Pig Records, presents an evening of top-class Rock & Roll and Rockabilly with Darrel Higham & The EnforcersThe band was formed in 1994 by Darrel and bassist, Mick Wigfall, and the first gig - in December that year - was supporting Screamin’ Lord Sutch at The Thunderbird Club in Wellingborough!
During the course of the band’s history they have backed many original Rockabilly artists; Billy Lee Riley, Sonny Burgess, Alvis Wayne, Roc LaRue, Terry Noland, as well as contemporary artists such as Imelda May, Marty Wilde, Rocky and Billy Burnette, Graham Fenton, Cliff Edmonds and Robert Gordon to name but a few.
As well as playing all the major Rock n Roll/Rockabilly festivals around the world, the band continues to play the UK Rock n Roll club scene. The current line-up comprises of Adam Miles on double bass and Tony Hillebrandt on drums – two exceptional musicians.
Darrel is endorsed by Gretsch Guitars and Peavey Amps.
