Dare Arts is excited to announce that the Outer Banks Film Society will return in September for its second season to screen independent films, movie classics, documentaries, shorts and world cinema. Films will be screened on select Tuesdays at Dare Arts in Manteo, unless otherwise specified. Doors will open at 6pm and films will start at 6:30pm.
The schedule below has been carefully curated for the Outer Banks Film Society:

• Jan. 28: The Taste of Things *French
• Feb. 4: All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt
• Feb. 18: Oscar Nominated Short Films
• Mar. 4: Polite Society
• Mar. 18: Museo *Spanish
Unlike purchasing a ticket to go see a movie at the local theater, you join the Outer Banks Film Society through an annual or seasonal membership. An annual membership is $140 and includes 12 films, plus member-only discounts for other film related events, including the Surfalorus Film Festival in September and the Outer Banks Environmental Film Festival in November. Seasonal (fall or winter) memberships include six films per season.
Film society memberships can be purchased online at DareArts.org/filmsociety, over the phone by calling Dare Arts, and in-person at the Dare Arts Gallery in Manteo.
The Outer Banks Film Society will also offer enriched film programming that includes film-related speakers, special events, and filmmaker discussions.
