The Open Door: Exploring Mental Health Emergency Care in Ireland

The Open Door will bring together key stakeholders across emergency, mental health, and community care to explore how Ireland responds to people in mental health crisis.

This event will be engaging and interactive, comprising of presentations, breakout groups and a panel discussion.

Together, we will:

• Review patterns and drivers of emergency department (ED) attendances for mental health reasons.
• Examine the interface between emergency, acute hospital, and community services
• Create a shared vision for what urgent and emergency mental health care should look like.
• Identify priorities for collaboration, reform, investment, and research.
