The Old Ship is the oldest hotel in Brighton, a historic building which dates back to 1559. It was frequented by royalty, aristocrats and artists and is Grade II* listed. The hotel's history runs parallel with Brighton's development as a leading seaside resort.
Jackie Marsh-Hobbs is a lecturer, tour guide and local historian. She initiated and conducts tours of Brighton Station, the Aquarium (Brighton Sealife Centre), Palmeira Mansions, Brighton's Palace Pier, Behind Closed Doors tours at the Royal Pavilion and The Old Ship Hotel.
