About this Event
This 2-hour course is designed to improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by teaching investigators and prosecutors about the process of child sexual abuse from the offender's point of view.
Attendees: This training is exclusively designed for Law Enforcement, OCWI and Prosecutors.
The training will be instructed by Dr. Tina Garby.
Dr. Tina Garby is in private practice as a clinical and forensic psychologist. Dr. Garby has worked in the mental health field with victims of violent and sexual crimes for 33 years and has worked with sex offenders for over 25 years. Along with her private practice, Dr. Garby conducts evaluations and treatment for sex offenders pre-adjudication and on probation. She has testified in 404 (b) and (c) cases involving sexual behaviors and has been an expert in death penalty cases, including testifying as an expert on sexual sadism. Dr. Garby presents at national and international conferences on risk assessments for sex offenders.
