Join The Oakland Renewal Alliance as we continue our effort to transform Oakland Cemetery into a sacred and open space we can all be proud of. This is definitely a "hands-on" event so if at all possible please bring a hand tool like rakes, loppers, hand clippers etc. We are also in need of as many yard waste bags as we can get our hands on. We are especially looking for folks who can bring W**d-whackers and lawn movers or leaf blowers to this event. You should also know that as of just a couple of weeks ago The Oakland Renewal Alliance was formally incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Rhode Island. This is the culmination of more than three years of hard work by a group of about a dozen concerned citizens many of whom will now serve on the Board of Directors. We can now accept donations and will commence fund-raising efforts in the very near future.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the 13th!
