NOU celebrates the global Haitian and Dominican diasporas, amplifying the voices of Black and Indigenous artists to counter racial imbalanceWe are excited to bring you the second year of the Nou Akoma Nou Sinèrji Haitian Dominican Film Festival (NOU). Dominicans Love Haitians Movement hosts its second annual Nou Akoma Nou Sinèrji (We Heart We Synergy) Haitian Dominican Transnational Film Festival in downtown Brooklyn, October 9 through 12, on the campus of St. Francis College. For the second year, we are proud to partner with St. Francis College and its Haitian Studies Association, a collaboration that strengthens our mission of promoting Solidarity and awareness between the Haitian and Dominican communities. We firmly believe that cinema should not be a luxury or privilege, but a shared experience that is accessible to all. To ensure this, we have implemented a sliding-scale ticket model, making the event affordable for everyone. Our suggested ticket price is $15, which may be more than affordable for some or absolutely prohibitive for others. A $15 ticket is simply what we hope is a comfortable median from which you can make your own decision about your current circumstances. If you can pay more, please do. If you need to pay less, please do. If you can purchase a ticket that will cover the cost for someone else, please do so. We eagerly look forward to your participation at the event. Your presence will add to the vibrancy and diversity of the festival.
