About this Event
The Play
Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead is a raw, darkly comic, and confrontational solo play by Eric Bogosian. Written as a series of intense monologues, the show features a range of characters—angry, lonely, manic, self-destructive, and occasionally hopeful—each exposing the anxieties and frustrations of modern life.
The tone swings from hilarious to disturbing as the characters rant about consumerism, alienation, masculinity, addiction, violence, and the pressures of contemporary American culture. The play doesn’t follow a traditional plot; instead, it paints a vivid, uncomfortable portrait of society through sharp, emotionally charged snapshots.
Overall, it’s a high‑energy, provocative piece designed to challenge audiences, confront uncomfortable truths, and shine a light on the chaos inside ordinary people.
This play contains explicit language and mature themes. Adults Only!
