This Christmas, we invite you to embark on an enchanting adventure that will take you from the grounds of Slieve Donard, all the way to the North Pole.
Introducing The Northern Light—an immersive, interactive Christmas story brought to life in four captivating chapters. Follow the glow of the Northern Light on a self-guided journey through a breathtaking world of festive wonder. With dazzling light & sound experiences, and magical moments around every corner, this experience is one for all ages.
Whether you're young or young at heart, The Northern Light at Slieve Donard promises to create memories you’ll cherish for years to come. Be part of the very first edition of what is destined to become a new Christmas tradition. The journey to the source of Christmas magic begins here.
What To Expect
Your journey begins at The Percy French where you’ll check in for the experience. From there, you can choose to stroll through the festive grounds to the hotel, or hop aboard the Christmas train, arriving in style at the entrance to start your adventure.
Once inside, you’ll travel through four themed rooms, each filled with wonder and excitement—venture into an ice cave, soar into the stars, and ultimately arrive at the source of the Northern Light itself. With immersive light and sound shows, interactive displays, and plenty of magical photo opportunities along the way, the experience promises to captivate all ages.
At the end of your journey, explore a traditional Christmas market where festive treats and crafts await. And to conclude your adventure, you can either take the train or enjoy a peaceful walk back to the exit, making for a truly magical experience from start to finish.
Please note as this is a Sensory Friendly time slot allocation of The Northern Light Experience. This specific Sensory Friendly time allocation differs from The Norther Light Expereince due to the below adjustments:

Terms & Conditions
Entry:
Entry to this event is by e-ticket only, which you will receive via email from Eventbrite. Both digital and printed e-tickets will be accepted. It is your responsibility to keep your e-ticket safe, just as you would with money or regular tickets. If your e-ticket is copied, it will be invalidated by the venue’s security system, and entry will be denied.
Children and Infants:
Children are classified as aged 12 and under, and infants as 1 year and under. Infants under 12 months attend free and do not require a ticket in advance. All guests under the age of 16 must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
Concession Tickets:
Visitors with special needs may admit one accompanying carer free of charge. Carers do not need to book in advance but must check in at the door to receive a carer pass. Please bring relevant ID or documentation (e.g., IAA Autism ID card or associated membership card) to confirm that assistance is required for visiting The Northern Light.
Accessibility:
This experience is accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities. The route is suitable for prams and most wheelchairs, but please be aware that it is an outdoor route. If you are unsure about accessibility, please contact us directly, and we can provide advice or arrange a site visit before your trip.
Flashing Lights:
Any lighting effects used will have a flash rate of under 2 Hertz, deemed safe for guests with sensitivities.
Ticket Exchange:
Please ensure you select the correct date, time, and number of tickets before booking. To change your tickets, please visit Eventbrite Help. The experience is self-guided and is expected to take a minimum of 45 minutes.
Lost Tickets:
When you order tickets on Eventbrite, an account is created using the email address you entered during checkout. To access your tickets, log in to the Eventbrite app or website using the email associated with your order, then go to Tickets. For additional information, visit Eventbrite Help.
Time Slots:
Please adhere to your allocated time slot. We cannot guarantee entry for those who arrive late and miss their scheduled time.
Cameras and Photography:
You are welcome to bring your own camera to take photos of your visit, but the photographing of other children is strictly prohibited.
Management Rights:
The management reserves the right of entry.
Event Alterations:
We will make every effort to deliver the event as advertised; however, The Northern Light reserves the right to make alterations, including changes in dates, times, programme modifications, or the provision of alternative facilities if necessary.
Event Cancellation:
If the event is cancelled, your booking will be refunded in full, less any applicable refund or booking service fees. In the event of cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances (force majeure), no refund will be issued unless specific terms were applied at the time of booking. These terms will prevail over the standard Terms and Conditions

Refunds for tickets are available up to 30 days prior to the event.
You can request a ticket refund or change of date or time through the Eventbrite platform.
