Out with the old, in with the New Year! Come to the "Oakland Comedy Jam", where we’ve hand-picked the funniest comedians this side of the Bay Bridge. When you arrive, make sure to not leave anything in your car... unless you want it to get "bipped." That's right, Scottie Bippen is out here live and in full effect! (Just kidding, it's a comedy show, remember?)
Let’s be real: people from Oakland are some of the funniest on the planet. No one else can roast you, make you laugh, and still get you to buy them a drink, all in one sentence. So come celebrate the New Year with jokes that’ll have you slapping your knee, laughing so hard you’ll accidentally work out your abs, and experiencing a night you’ll never forget—mainly because you’ll be trying to figure out how you laughed so hard you pulled a muscle.

Has anyone famous ever performed at a HellaFuny Event? - Yes indeed! #HellaFunny has been able to attract talent of national headliners such as Hannibal Buress (Broad City), Jermaine Fowler (ABC's Superior Donuts), The Lucas Brothers (Netflix Special "On Drugs"),not to mention Oakland's Very Own Luenell made a guest appearance to one of our grand openings.
What time should I arrive? - We suggest everyone arrive 30 minutes prior to showtime!
Is there an age limit? - Yes, 21 and up.
How's parking? - Little street parking is available. However, we suggest using Lyft or another ridesharing app.
Is there a dress code? - Dress to impress! We do not have a strictly enforced dress code.
Only ticket holders from the 8:30pm show will be allowed to stick around for the after party.
VIP "SHOUT OUT" OPTION - Want to wish someone an unforgettable happy birthday? Want one of the comics to say hi to your date? Or want to feel the burn and have a comic roast someone in your group? One of our comics will give you a special shout out from the stage. Limited to maximum of 2 per show.
