GREAT NEWS! Following our dear old friend Dale's hand injury and the postponement of his March visit to Maldon, he's back, playing better than ever.
We have managed to secure the historic Thames barge Hydrogen for an autumn show by this incredibly talented musician.
The March show was totally sold out. More than 60% of the original ticket-holders kept their tickets in anticipation of a rebooking, so remaining tickets for this fresh date are strictly limited. Early booking is strongly advised!

A bit about Dale and the show...
AFTER the huge success of our previous sold-out New Orleans Riverboat Revue shows, BATB Promotions is delighted once again to showcase the artistry of Dale Storr – he's widely acknowledged as one of the UK's leading exponents of the many piano styles of New Orleans. His repertoire covers everything from 1920s stride and boogie-woogie through the hip blues of Dr John and Allen Toussaint, the tight funk of Jon Cleary and the diverse classical stylings of tragic New Orleans genius James Booker.
Dale plays stunning piano, sings and tells amazing, colourful tales of the music, musicians and culture of New Orleans – a subject for which he has a singular passion. If you’ve ever fancied spending time in the Big Easy, this probably is the next best thing!
The Sheffield musician’s reputation has grown in recent years, through high-profile appearances at events such as the Buxton International Festival and big venues including Cardiff’s St David’s Hall.
The beautiful old Thames barge, Hydrogen, tied up at Hythe Quay, Maldon, Essex, isn’t quite a Mississippi steamboat, but its saloon provides a unique, intimate setting for a musical journey to another town with a mighty river at its heart.
