About this Event
To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Sheffield Bird Study Group, members of the Group began working to produce a fitting milestone to mark the occasion. The New Birds of the Sheffield Area, co-edited by Richard Hill and David Wood, is the result of those efforts. It builds on the Group's previous books to provide coverage of all 300 species recorded in the Sheffield area, each accompanied by a local illustration or photo.
Richard and David will provide an overview of the book and explain how and why it came about. Afterwards, copies of the book will be available for purchase. Please note that payment will be via either cash or bank transfer.
