TUCAN is bringing its hugely successful monthly residency, The Nest Session, to Liverpool—the city where it all began. After three years of growing the event in London, the band is expanding to celebrate the music scene that helped shape them into who they are today.In London, The Nest Session has become a thriving community, with TUCAN collaborating and performing alongside some of the finest artists, musicians, and singers from both the UK and beyond (including Durand Bernarr, MiC Lowry, Vula Malinga and more)
Now, The Nest Sessions joins forces with LIMF Academy for two special shows—one in London and, for the first time ever, one in Liverpool—featuring collaborations with the Academy’s talented artists.
This debut Liverpool edition will showcase an exciting blend of local artists and musicians, celebrating the city’s rich Jazz, Soul, and R&B scenes.
Expect an electrifying night of live music, improvisation, and special guest performances.
TUCAN:
The band’s fresh take on ‘Jazz-Fusion’ sees their music incorporating Soul, Funk and R&B, whilst drawing inspiration from the likes of Snarky Puppy, Robert Glasper and Cory Henry.
TUCAN are the musical representation of community and togetherness, with members of the band coming from all over the UK, and all over the world, in addition to their continuous collaboration with some of London’s, the UK’s, Europe’s, and the World’s finest artists, singers and musicians. As TUCAN solidify their focus on bringing people together, their live shows have blossomed through their energetic and captivating performances, often leaving the audience moving and grooving.Their latest project, THE NEST. VOLUME 1, encapsulates their journey so far, capturing the spirit of their creative evolution within the London Jazz scene.
