About the author -
Jean Davis writes speculative fiction across multiple genres, from short story collections to sweeping space operas, stand-alone novels, and even children’s books inspired by her chickens. When she’s not crafting new worlds - or abandoning a few unfinished ones - she’s busy imagining the next story waiting to be told.
Her writing blends imagination, humor, and a willingness to put characters through absolute chaos, all from the comfort of her chair. Outside of writing, Jean can be found reading anything she can get her hands on, enjoying sushi, tending to her flower garden, or navigating her yard’s impressive stick population while cautiously coexisting with its many snakes.
She lives in West Michigan with her musical husband, a very attention-demanding terrier, and a mostly friendly flock of fluffy chickens.

Death lurks in the choices we make.
