Over 50 species of fireflies are found in Georgia – the most of any U.S. state! Like a lot of native insects, fireflies are unfortunately in decline. Learn what we can do, one yard at a time, to support the cherished, charming insects.Rose is a professional nature educator who has worked for many nature-based organizations in the Atlanta area. With a passion for nature, Rose is a liaison for the Georgia Bat Working Group, a certified Master Birder, Master Herpetologist, Venomous Snake Handler, and a Trees Atlanta Tree Keeper.
Attend in-person at 7PM in the CNC Plaza Conference Room and bring a dish to share for the potluck. Make new friends and connections at Nature Club while learning all at the same time. Rose’s presentation will begin at 7:30PM.
$10 general public / $5 CNC Members (Ages 16+)
