About this Event

This is a series of cultural and artistic performances with the theme of the traditional Chinese Spring Festival, including lion and dragon dance, Chinese folk dance, music, children's dance, Chinese calligraphy and audience interaction, red envelope games and Ceilidh. There will be a commentary of the event explaining the traditions, history and meaning. Audience will gain first-hand experience and learn about a different culture.

The event will take place on 15 February 2026 from 12:30 - 14:00 at the square of the Mound Edinburgh. Free and open to the public. This year the event is supported by the Lottery Community Fund and Heriot-Watt University.
