About this Event

Holyrood Park is the Koh-i-Noor in the crown jewels of Edinburgh's stunning landscape. Comprising 650 acres of mixed grassland and encompassing Arthur's Seat, the iconic Salisbury Crags as well as some of the oldest exposed rocks in Edinburgh this is a vital island for wildlife in the heart of our majestic capital.

On this visit we will be creating and maintaining firebreaks in the gorse on the site. This helps to reduce the impact of fire and creates additional habitats for butterflies and wildflowers.

We encourage volunteers to use our minibus for transport. If you live near this task and wish to make your own way you must ring Debbie on 07510959496 to book a space and for joining instructions.

Please bring your lunch and wear appropriate footwear (boots or wellingtons) and waterproof outdoor clothing.

You can check our website for further information and frequently asked questions.
