The City of Greensboro’s Human Rights Department, Libraries and Museum Department, and the Beloved Community Center host a four‑part summer discussion series on Aran Shetterly’s book “Morningside: The 1979 Greensboro Massacre and the Struggle for an American City’s Soul.”The series, titled "The Morningside Dialogues: Facing Our Past, Shaping Our Future," invites residents to explore the history, impact, and continued relevance of the events described in the book. Each hour‑long program begins at 6 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Community members are encouraged to attend one or all of the discussions:
• Thursday, May 28 - Glenwood Branch Library, 1901 W. Florida St.
• Thursday, June 25 - Benjamin Branch Library, 1530 Benjamin Parkway
• Thursday, July 23 - McGirt‑Horton Branch Library, 2501 Phillips Ave.
