Led by Ronnie Martin.This hand-stitching class allows you to explore the potential of simple stitches as a means of interpreting personal thoughts, observations and ideas.
You will be guided through a series of enjoyable exercises and demonstrations as you discover your own style of stitching, which may then be used to decorate clothing, bags and other items.
Ronnie Martin is an experienced and knowledgeable tutor who delights in encouraging her students to develop an awareness of their own sense of design.
She was the Founder and Creative Director of the annual Changing Threads Fibre and Textile Awards for the past 15 years. She has taught, exhibited and judged widely, both in NZ and overseas. Her work encompasses many artistic disciplines including painting, mixed media, textiles, books, printmaking and art dolls.
