Enjoy a new abridged version of Handel’s most famous oratorio in the evocative candlelit setting of St Mary Le Strand, James Gibbs’ baroque masterpiece and arguably the most beautiful of the Queen Anne Churches.This is a complete (but abridged) performance of Messiah, accompanied on the organ, and lasting about 75 minutes, without interval, giving concert-goers time to have dinner afterwards.

The L’Inviti Singers is a chamber choir comprising singers handpicked from the UK's major churches and cathedrals (St Paul's, Westminster Abbey etc) and internationally renowned chamber groups (The Sixteen, Tenebrae etc).
The Christopher Wood Choral Foundation is the choir-in-residence at St Mary Le Strand, and comprises scholarship holders from London’s conservatoires including the Royal Academy of Music
Alexander Pott is a former organ scholar of Christ Church, Oxford, and between 2017 and 2024 was Assistant Organist at Magdalen College, Oxford. He is currently researching for his PhD at Cambridge University.
