About this Event
Surrendering. Cleansing. Expanding.
How often do we stay inside the "box" because we fear the unknown? This half-day retreat is a call to those ready to face that fear and find the medicine hidden within surrender.
Held in a yurt on a beautiful nature reserve, this journey is an invitation to step out of the noise and back into the self.
We will be working with Sacred Mapacho—a powerful plant ally used to clear the heavy energies and negativity we collect in our day-to-day lives. Through its purgative power, we release the mental, emotional and energetic "clutter" that keeps us stuck, making space for a deeper expansion
There is profound healing in being witnessed and witnessing one another as we shed the old. This is a space to unfold in community, supported as we walk unknown paths together.
What to expect:
-Introduction to Mapacho
-Mapacho Purgative & Icaros
-Sound Healing & Guided Meditation
-Somatic Integration & Expressive Movement
- Sharing & Integration Circles
About The facilitator:
Jess is an energy worker, maestra and a forever dedicated student of curanderismo- the ancient practice of traditional healing rooted in Earth-based wisdom. Plants play a central role in her work, as she approaches them with great reverence and love. By working shamanically, she taps into their healing, cleansing, purifying, and protective powers. Just as each of us carries a unique vibration, so do the plants. Jess also facilitates a monthly wellbeing group for the POC community- a dedicated space for rest, reflection, and collective healing outside of systemic pressures.
Important Information:
The Mapacho will be used as a physical purgative. This means the ceremony involves a physical release (vomiting) as a way of clearing deep seated blockages from the body. This is a safe, guided, and sacred part of the cleansing process.
This is a POC-centered, Queer-inclusive (queer facilitator), and ally-friendly space.
